I'm sure I could find a use for that Ta Bar  :gimme:

Overall, they seem to be coming up with some nice original designs. Nothing else jumps out at me yet, but I can see how that shiny knife might be popular. How about something without a lock CRKT?  :pok:

Hey You got to give it to them , They are now the company pushing the envelope of design and they shure as hell dont have moss growing under thier feet. I almost think it is time for thier own forum.

unfortunately, sometimes people push the envelope of design strait into a furnace.

A CRKT sub-forum has been on the back burner for a while, although unfortunately there has been very little discussion about CRKT tools in the past.  If this keeps up though, I may have to start reconsidering it- after all, their tool line is expanding rapidly.

OK, so there are some slippies... just nothing I want yet :D

Perhaps they do warrant their own forum. Maybe that's what they've been up to all along

well it works both ways surely, if there is a specific forum for CRKT tools, you will get more discussion about the tools in comparison to if there isn't a dedicated forum.

And since it seems the company is turning out to be one of the most innovative, well priced, and have started churning out more offerings, I think most of us believe they warrant their own subforum, the sooner the better!

I have often thought that smaller manufacturers such as CRKT and bear deserve their own sub forum myself...

Unfortunately, it doesn't really work that way.  I wish it did....  but it doesn't.

I would love to, but as I've said, there just hasn't been enough volume of discussion to do that.  Bear is mentioned very rarely (other than the odd person asking for a Bear Forum) and when was the last time we had a discussion about the Zilla, Guppie, or Get-A-Way Driver?  I'm not saying these tools aren't good- in fact I have many CRKT tools and more than a few Bears- but there just isn't the interest in them to warrant a specific forum for them, or at least not yet.

As usual, feel free to try to convince me otherwise!

Hmm, ok, to put it another way, wouldnt it be neater to have all the discussion of CRKT tools in one place, rather than mixed in with the 'general' stuff on these boards? If we have some multitool enthusiast come to these boards who is particularly fond of CRKT, wouldnt he be more impressed to find that even though they are not the biggest multitool manufacturers, but due to their dedication to producing tools of high quality and ingenuity, we have afforded them their own little corner on the boards, and even though that little corner may not see as much activity as the boards for leatherman or victorinox, it does mean it is easy to find all you want to know about CRKT tools in one specific area.

And to put it yet another way, why not? As far as my incredibly limited knowledge of websites go, I thought it was quite a simple process to try out, and see if it works well. You won't know until you try....

There, I'm all out of arguments. If this doesnt work thats me beat  :)

how about having a section for "minor manufacturers" with subsections for all the other multi tool makers tools, that way (as above) all discussion specific to their tools can be kept in one place.

and what is the worst that could happen? no one uses it and it takes up a tiny amount of database room.

Welll... it could be used as a political maneuver! =D
It'd add to organization and show that we believe CRKT has a market presence? *shrugs*
