I don't think I've seen one of the old ones before.  Could we have some close-up pictures please :)

It's very similar to the soldier model 1908 but has an electrician blade instead of the can opener.
It has the number 202 in old catalogs.

this go me thinking, would an electrician blade fit where the small blade normally fits?(for example on a swiss champ?)

Yes it does mate.  Although if you're being very picky it's actually a little thicker than the small blade.  However it makes so little difference even Vic was prepared to ignore it and put it in there.

Wonderful collection Victor.  :tu:  I was under the impression that the 84mm was also called the Electrician, AFAIK the Apprentice had a combo tool not the blade.  Whatever it's called it's still a good SAK. :)

You are right with the name of the 84mm. It's an Electrician. Thanks for the correction.  :tu:

Putting some new electricity into the great old thread.  I still  at the original post.

Another picture of the 2011 special run of the Electrician Solo in Yellow-Chartreuse and Black.

Damn! I'm waiting for my first one to arrive this week. Only one complaint: why not put the same multipurpose as the Bantam as instead of the bottle opener?... Just because of the screw driver part?...

The combo tool is a lot thinner and weaker than the normal bottle-opener. Not only do I think people would like it less, but also it means it doesn't fit nicely in the place of the bottle-opener ;)

Got it yesterday.Wow! Sturdy and tough as nails! The bottle opener fits better than the combo tool, the SAK is way to heavy-duty to carry a small combo instead of the bigger bottle opener. I just wished it had a keyring...
