Big old ugly Chopper

I accidentally brought this big old ugly tool on Ebay
I had a go at straightening the tang but I don't think I got it hot enough and the steel now has a split around 1mm deep
but I thought I will carry on and see how it turns out
What do I use for a handle
.... 'cotton throw Micarta'
As the tang is bent and wobbly so Iwill try to mold the micarta on to the handle
I didn't have enough resin to do a really good job so I ended up with porous micarta
and a left a bit of a hole at the top front of the handle (I will have to fill it with something)
After buying some more resin and lots of messing around it now looks like this

So let me get this straight - you Brits can't buy a multitool with a puny two inch blade from eBay, but you can buy THAT?!

kinda looks like the metal part of a flipper used to flip food on a large cook top found in diners? The edge helps get under food to flip and can also be used to cut up eggs and such when cooking. Although, 3 lbs would be heavy

I think the JIB frown upon chopping up your Apprentices (Electrocution is OK
)
@ Bob
Yep a Waiter is toooo dangerous
2 foot long Machete No problem
@ Cleanser
Your Chef would have arms like Arnie

You need to weld a pointy thing off the back side of the blade...

That looks like the blade from one of the big paper machines the teachers used at school
