Nice to see the progress! I would have recommended holding some wooden lips with a couple of clamps but you got it on in the end so it's a bit late now.

Ya if I didnt already have the mill in the air I would have made some wood squares to do the job, but its done now at least!

It fits well in the space I cleared for it too.

That is freaking sick! Wow, that's like the minimal all in one! Hey here's an idea, what if you could make like a hidden tool? Idk what that new toy of yours can do, but what if you could put a file like surface on the liner, but only on the part behind the Philips? So it's kinda hidden?

Nice one Syph.  One of those with the nail file hook and a fish scaler would be an ideal slim model for me.

My flood coolant module is going to get installed tomorrow and I can finally do some first movement tests with the PC hooked up to the mill. :D

Ive had to pause that for now though so I could get some more custom SAKs out the door and bills paid.

Finished up another compact/tinker model and a knifeless CT today.  :D

This pic shows how much thinner my version is versus a stock cellidor compact.  :D

Not real impressed with the limited edition 2016 models.
http://forum.multitool.org/index.php?topic=65892.0

I was really hoping for a pioneer x limited edition.  They do have one on victorinox website with a damascus blade but it's $185 and it's out of stock. https://www.swissarmy.com/us/en/Products/Swiss-Army-Knives/Medium-Pocket-Knives/Pioneer-X/p/0.8231.J16

Lol.  Darn right!

Amazing - I would say - You really notice it more on the SAKs with fewer layers - The relative difference is greater!
Those cellidor scales really are quite thick when you look at that photo.

A single layer Ti Syph custom would almost be unnoticeable in a pocket.
Have you ever done one Syph?

I have a lovely old 58mm alox Executive (old version of the Companion) - Hey here it is!! - The one on the end

You can't tell this from the photo - But it is unbelievably slim
I'd guess the scales are under a mm think - In fact not much thicker than liners

Ive got so many ideas for things to make when I get the Tormach running I dont know where to start!

I had a bunch of SAKs to get out the door though so Ive had to pause for a few days to finish work.  Also tax dealine in Canada is tomorrow and well Ive been procrastinating doing it.  Ive got a years worth of receipts and crap to go through from 2015 and get sorted by tomorrow.  Then I will be back working on the Tormach on Sunday.  Ive now got all the parts and I just need to finish :D

Close!

I just weighed it.  154

The backsprings are probably 1/3 the weight.  The next evolution in SAK modding I think is to address that.  :D

I finished doing my taxes! One and a half days to go through a pile of receipts and bills isnt too bad.

Now... back to CNC setup!!! I'll have another video shortly hopefully showing first test movements and flood coolant setup.
