This is gonna get weird fast ...
on: July 31, 2013, 03:46:54 AM

OK, last one this month, folks. :D

I thought we could start this one off as a giveaway, but continue on with the weirdness after the giveaway part is over. ;)

What I'd like you to do is post a picture of the weirdest multitool, SAK, knife, bottle opener, ... anything EDC, tool or gadget related will be cool. 8)

It's gonna be a fast giveaway though, so dig through those boxes, get your camera and get posting. Every tool gets you an entry this time. It's gonna be crazy and unsupervised. ;) Well, maybe I'll drop in occasionally. Giveaway ends sometime before midnight 31st of July.

The prize:

Justin Gingrich of Gingrich Tactical Innovations gave us another of his tactical pens for our 7th anniversary. :cheers:

You can visit his site at www.gingrichtactical.com and also visit his blade gallery, he makes some awesome custom blades. :tu:

And here are some specs:

The M-4 Tactical Pen® features a working ball point pen, anodized aluminum casing, a knurled grip and a stainless steel M-4 site tool.
- Anodized aluminum construction
- Twist operation ball point pen
- M-4 site tool
- Pocket clip
- 6" overall

Have fun! :cheers:

One weird tool. On the picture it looks way better than in reality. The black coating is too soft, the steel is way to weak. Once you sharp it and cut a peace of wood it's dull again. The tool arangement and size of the tools is not practical.

However, it was an advertisment present of our company.

But i think, they should have asked me in advance.... ;)

@Etherealicer

Don't worry, we wouldn't have let you enter with the Bar10der without you actually owning it. :pok:

It has to be a tool out of your personal collection, junk drawer, ... :P

@Zoidberg

Well, this is not exactly an EDC but it can be, it's light enough. I bought it recently and have been using it a lot.

I'm at work so I hope this is good enough

my weird multitool is a modded international cab over semi truck we use to move and install mobile homes.

it doesn't look like much but its hitch can move a house up+down left+right to get it right where we want it.

thanks for yet one more chance mto

The 2013 MT.O Challenge Coin first production run

I know, it doesn't look weird but the weird is in the story behind it. In case you don't know the story on this, the hex driver in the middle was too small on this one and the second run. They got it right on the third one thank God!¡!

Those are for Barb Wire fence work. Really well made usually and they work great!

The "Hammer" part is for driving fence staples into wood posts. The pliers are for griping the wire to pull or for pulling fence staples out. The cam action is for pulling the wire tight. Grab the wire with the pliers and then using the cam action against the pole you can tighten it pretty good. That part is also great for getting under those staples that are sunken down into the wood.

This little thing has sat in my drawer for years and years. It's hopeless. Note the amazing spring action and crimper!

OK, here is my entry into this thread. It is a plastic China made tool(?) with a AAA lamp torch and several fold out tools and blade. A real strange piece for sure. It has a plastic "clip" and is marked with an interesting "Steeledge" logo and name. Not exactly what I would use or carry. Got it in a trade lot of stuff. The blade is actually very sharp!

This thing is really crazy. It's a screwdriver with a rotating barrel of bits.

You pull out the handle and rotate it to select what bit you want to use. When you pull it out, the current bit goes in, and the new one you select gets pushed out when you push it back together. It is magnetic, all plastic, and comes with 6 bits. And you can change out the bits for any ones you want! Whamodyne!
