A short video about Multitool and Ferro rod striking
on: August 28, 2013, 08:38:58 AM
Hi, everyone.

Just did a short video on using and modding multitool for easy ferro rod striking.  Many of you who are experienced outdoorsman probably know this--besides the commonly found lighter and matches, Ferrocerium rod and tinder is a decent combination for fire starting.

Most of the leatherman full size and heavy duty tools already have locking saw blade for the job(as of 2013 line of products), but for the non-locking saw blade/no saw multitools, I offer a few humble ideas that hopefully will help.

Hope you like it.  :D

Thank you for watching, and also testing it on Huntsman!

I remembered not too long ago Zed had posted a thread about his camping trip outing with various multitools, that could have been a good trip to tried these tricks with kids.  :D
