I ahve to thank you Dunc it looks like you have just saved me a truck load of money.After seeing your intial post I went to my local Tesco and bought 2 for household use on the way home I was able to light the reflective strip on a traffic cone (more blasted roadworks)at about 30 feet away in broad daylight .Not bad as they are only intended for dog walking, power cuts etcMight not need that Fenix after allCheers Mate

Used my new toy about 03-30 hrs this morning and managed to light up the front door of the house at the top of the street thats about 80yds not bad for a torch that cost 12 quid and runs on easily available batteries Cheers Again Dunc
