Much Ado About Navitool
on: April 11, 2015, 07:55:31 AM
I'm not much of a reviewer so I'm just going to lay down some pictures here of my latest acquisition, Schrade Navitool, which I was able to catch on eBay no so long ago =) Luckily enough, Mine seems to be the original version before the discontinuing of the tool, rather than the cheap-smurf remake.

It feels rather solid in hand and actually feels like a tool you can trust to do it's job... whichever that may be  ;)

Small compartment for a Mini Bic to hide in

The led is quite dim, so it won't destroy your night vision

The blade came out quite sharp out of the proverbial box

Saw seems sharp, tho I haven't tested it

Scissors are surprisingly large

Rest of the tools are what you could excpect

All in all this funky piece of a tool seems to be everything I excpected of it, loads of fun, if not so much practicality.

Lets have one for the Navitool

Actually makes a not bad outdoor companion. I usually clip my user to my backpack.  :tu:

It is a fascinating tool for sure, but I carry better equipment so that way when Dan gets lost using his Navi tool I can find him..... :P

This is not one I would want to rely on for any serious trips in unfamiliar areas.

Being prepared involves redundancy, that is,back up tools to your primary tools. This is where the Schrade Navitool would shine.

I like it,and thanks for posting.

$16

I doubt very much you'd find the original for $16, so be wary, as per Chako's (?) earlier review the remake is sadly quite low quality
