Yeah, so what's the common thing between a link and a snorkel. They're both long and very often links lead to snorkel pics.

Yes, they are not exactly welcome.

We have only 3 rules for posting, no religion, no politics and keeping it family friendly.

So limiting whatever you post to things you wouldn't want your significant other or your children seeing you looking at if they happen to catch a glimpse of what's on your screen.

And this thread is starting to look like something not fitting in that description so please, guys and gals, keep it family friendly.

I'm from Florida originally. You can't go to the beach and not see women running around in bikinis. You have to blindfold your kids the whole time that they are at the beach if that's objectionable, and it has been that way for decades

Well I'm from Croatia and sunbathing topless on public beaches is quite normal here. And we also have nudist beaches. But that doesn't mean I'll start posting pics of topless girls on a multitool related site. There's more than enough of that on the internet.

I'd love to visit Croatia Enki. My wife insists: summer is for Greek islands (hey, they come from Japan and New Zealand to see them and we are 4 hours by boat away) but you made it clear that sightseeing in continental Europe worths it. And I have new binoculars to enjoy the local fauna.
I have to persuade her now. Do you have good pastry shops there?  And leather clothes and bags? And nice spas? For cheap?

That's a good bit different, though. I was just at the grocery store here in Michigan, and an 18 to 20 something girl was in the check out wearing cut off shorts and a bikini top. Bikinis are common on beaches all over the world, and are common on prime time television shows in a much larger percentage of countries than those in which topless nudity is considered acceptable.

So what's the standard? Puritan notions of decency? Or perhaps Islamic law when it comes to women?

Not trying to be facetious. Just pointing out that "family friendly" is a quite an amorphous term due to how it is culturally derived. I guess ultimately you have to have forum mods with a common understanding of the standard to step in when people exceed what might not be "family friendly" for other cultures

A few years back we had a Women thread that was filled with pics of women we found attractive. After a while it got out of hand and we had a hard time moderating it. Google ads complained as a lot of the pics, even though the ladies were dressed, was linked from xxx sites. And we depend on ad revenues to pay for server bills and software for all our sites, the wikis, edcsource, ...

So we decided to pull the plug on such content and would ask members to try not to cross that line again.

I mean do we really need pics of scaresly dressed women on MTO?

I'm as far north from the coast as one can be in Croatia so not so good on recommendations on that subject.

But I do enjoy the view when I'm down there.

You can not drive or go to the supermarket here without having women in bikinis, hotpants, miniskirts etc. (from various countries) around you distracting you all the time (I regularly go shopping in my swimming costume during the summer, so I do give something back to the nice ladies  ...)

I posted some mild beach pictures in the shutter forum a few weeks ago, by the way. 

The problem is, once people start posting girly pictures, then it usually goes downhill quickly - NNR is usually to blame
