It also works really well when you're in the alps being chased by baddies. You can use it to slide down the cable car line. If I had a quid for every time the hook has saved my life. Well I wouldn't be stuck here at work typing this out i can tell you.

Not sure I've ever seen anyone come up with a use for that.
So it IS strong enough for emergency zip lining then!It would take quite alot to shear the brass pin... I would love to test one to failure to actually find out... That just made the todo list.A twisting motion will cause failure much sooner though. Ive seen numerous time the backside phillips has been used a stuck screw and rips the pin right through the soft Al liner. Thats the only pin without a bushing on it.
