And to Mr. Lamontagne I live in a small town about 20 minutes outside Winnnnipeg called StonewallI guess that you are pretty tired of people asking if it is hot enough for you, so I will refrain! I wasn't actually in Winnipeg, I was in Portage La Prairie, the town famous for being a place to stop and eat on a long distance bus ride.... That wasn't me, and I wasn't there at that time! That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it! Oh, and call me Grant or Def- I'd use the corny old line that my father is Mr. Lamontagne, but as he worked hard to attain the rank of Chief Warrant Officer I think he'd prefer CWO to Mister! I miss Manitoba- I think I may have to visit again sometime soon!Def
Of course there are- that's why your license plate says "Friendly Manitoba!"My parents drove through there last year, and yeah, there have been a lot of changes since we left in '85! Are they still running the Festivale Du Voyageur in Winnipeg every year? My girlfriend Megan is from Halifax and I have been threatening to take her to Festivale since she loves Canadiana type stuff, and she is curious after seeing the Vignette about them. Def
Grant often sings me the voyageur song.Perhaps we can get him to do another video and perform for the forum?;-)Welcome! We're glad to have you!
I haven't been to Festivale since the early/mid 80's, so I guess things have probably changed somewhat. And it would be cool to see a Jets game, but I suppose the odds of them still playing in February is pretty slim.... Might have to go see Grant's Old Mill again too, but maybe that's a summer trip. And the Bald Hills and Turtle Mountain.... dang I miss Manitoba!Def
