My full kit
on: March 27, 2009, 06:08:32 PM
I have been trying to put together a full EDC kit for a while now and feel that I have finally covered everything.  As I drive, weight is not an issue so it is pretty comprehensive;

After I have filled my pockets with all my necessities, everything else fits in my bag pretty nicely;

So, does anyone have any ideas as to anything I should be adding?
I'm back!!

I can't see it but how about food, energy/glucose tablets, pro plus for when you HAVE to keep going....rope?

(I may well have missed them)

Otherwise your kit and mine look v similar  :salute:

Maybe you already have one, but an I.D Tag/Dog Tag?

I would only add food etc when I was necessarily needing it.  I also have no use for those kinda tablets as I am so scatty that I have all the energy I need.  :D

Rope is one thing I have thought of but only in the form of a tow rope.  There is a few feet of cordage in that lot so I'd like to think that that would cover anything else I needed it for.

I would make recommendations, but I need to know what your EDC is intended to cover.  My initial impression is, there's a fair bit o' kit that could be omitted as EDC.  But I may be wrong.

Of course, you could set this up as a poll...

You know Ben, doctors recommend that you only carry a maximum of 15% of your body weight.  :rofl:  :D

A Bladetech sharpener.  It's is real thin so fits in my Otterbox kit really well.  Not my first choice in sharpener, but would work in a pinch.

So, does anyone have any ideas as to anything I should be adding?

1.  A sherpa

2.  A sidekick ala Green Hornet's Kato, Batman's Robin or The Avenger's Emma Peale

What you saying?!  :twak: :D

I admit it does look a lot, but considering that quite a bit of that is my regular pocketed EDC, the rest all go in that bag which is really only carried to and from the car.  If I were to go hiking etc, I would obviously drop this to necessities only.

Who on earth would want to be my sidekick?  They'd have to be pretty small and pretty dumb.  :D

Search on Sigg Oval flask cup (it's the oval flask with cup).  Amazon probably has them

Oh, and forgot to say, in addition to the wallet I annoyingly left out, there is a gas canister and a pan holder & stabilizer kit inside that Jetboil.  I put a small sponge in the Jetboil as well just to stop everything from shaking about.

Water purification?  Steripen makes a pocket sized UV sterilizer that's quite nice...
