Some years ago the Discovery Channel had a couple shows called"The Toys We Played With" that covered things like Ant Farms,Colorforms,Lionel trains, and other assorted goodies from the early baby Boom era.

Hot Wheels, yah, with the supercharger and the loop-de-loop track set up! :tu: Man would we ever go through the D cell batteries. :D Change the rubber band gearing inside and you've got a hot-wheel-car-launching bazooka, great for terrorizing dogs and evil sisters! >:D  Ahh, those were the days. :)

Anybody have a rock'em sock'em robot set? It was on our Christmas lists for the entire 1970's decade but we never got one. :(

Wow.  Are you sure you're not one of my brothers?  That's like my history.  Don't forget the single and double Rod Runners (rubber band power, not battery operated) AND Sizzlers with their Fat Track.

Heck, we musta had a quarter mile of orange track and curves.

Damn! Those were some good times....

Yah, Rod Runners too!! :tu:

Your mom ever whack you across the fanny with a piece of hot wheel track, for not picking up your hot wheel track? Damn, that stings! :ahhh
In order to be certain of having the right tool for every job.........one must first acquire a lot of tools

I think at the beginning it was more about building and tearing down the kit

I think this was the first (of many) lego kits I got:

The difficult we do immediately, the impossible takes a little longer.
