What's your favorite AAA light?
on: April 04, 2009, 08:27:23 PM
Hey guys, I have a fixation with AAA lights lately.. I don't know why, I just do!  :o Now, what's your favorite AAA light?

I really miss my Arc, it was definitely one of the best; but I don't have it anymore.. So, my new favorite is my Serac S2.. It's plenty bright, and it's a LM!  :D

I really need to get an LOD!

I'm going to take a lot of flack for this but the Maglite Solitaire. I like them because they are USA made, cheap(under $5) and expendable.

Not an AAA light but for the life of me I just can't find any light that scores better specs than the Zebralight H30-Q5 at its price range. Gitd clicky with lockout, 2.5 hrs at 80 lumens (110 bulb lumens) and 3.7 days at 4 lumens, with one cr123a battery, in a compact waterproof body that can transform from a keychain light to a headlamp in no time, and all that for less than €50 shipped! How can you beat that?

The only single AAA LED I have is the L0D Q4 and it's a great light.  Like AL I do still have a soft spot for the Solitaire though.
Be excellent to each other and always know where your towel is.

If I had to pick only one then it'll be my Arc light for it's bomb proff construction and it being US made. I still love my new Serac S2, my Vic/Inova 2 aaa and my 3 aaa Petzl Tikka plus for serving me well for many years.

I don't much experience with AAA light but I'll have to pick L0D, had an arc but to me the performance doesn't justify the price.

Yep, I'd agree with that.  Excellent addition to my keyring.

Leatherman S2 , guts by Fenix , simple and well proven . The Leatherman metalwork is very nice . I also like the Arc AAA-P , not the brightest , but bullet an bomb proof . Another really good contender is the Streamlite Microstream , nice little basic performer , an inexpensive .

Arc-P for sure!   :gimme:   I have six or seven of them now and I want more. I would love to have some of the older colored beam versions. I have a beat up red beam Arc-P that is pretty cool. The original Arc-P's are the best!  :tu:

I only have 4 AAA lights; Solitarie, 2xAAA minimag, Fenix E01, and Fenix L0D Q4.

The Fenix L0D Q4 is my favorite but the Fenix E01 gets more use.
