Just got my hands on my first powerlock!!
on: April 26, 2009, 01:28:46 AM
I gotta say, while it is clear that it has some shortcomings, I am really liking this tool :tu:.  I'm not sure if this has come up before, but why is there just an empty space in one of the handles?  I have the powerlock with v-cutter, and the side with the knife/v-cutter has the 1/4" drive and the bottle opener, and a small spacer in the middle.  Is there anything that can be added into it to take use of that space?

PS. Does anyone have an extra powerlock serrated knife they dont want?  :pok: :D

I know of the website, but specifically what would fit in the location where the washer is.  There is a width and a length requirement.  For example, I would never do this, but I wouldnt be able to put another 1/4" drive adapter cause its too wide.  I also wouldnt be able to put in a pair of scissors cause theyre too long.  My question is what extra implements CAN fit in the space where the nylon washer is.

I think I'm going to try to do that custom hacksaw addition as well!

I have the same Powerlock version you got. I tried to add the fully serrated blade right besides the other blade but then I had problems with closing the tool completely. So you can only have 4 long tools in the Powerlock and a ¼ inch drive would be to thick. So anything else than a long tool or the ¼ inch drive would fit. EODtec is selling of some SOG parts that you should take a look at http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,10507.0.html
There is no problem that cannot be solved by the use of high explosives.
