A dog or a cat I could see some problems with, but I don't think I'd feel any remorse at all popping a cap in a budgie. Am I a bad person? I don't think you are and TBH I'm surprised I haven't had more "I don't get what your problem is" type replies. Perhaps everyone is just trying to be nice.

Don't get me wrong...When I get a load of birds in the shop, out comes the bird shot and pop goes the birdies. Same goes for raccoons around the farm. But a pet is a pet--different than capping a pesky bird.

You haven't seen my post on your Gerber sale thread yet either
Just a random quote: If God didn't want us to hunt/kill/eat animals, why did He make them out of meat?
They say that mass murderers start off by killing or torturing animals when they are young so it's probably a good thing that we all feel this way!I have to agree about being able to shoot a human rather than an animal though - I think it's about people pissing us off knowingly and animals not doing so. We are thinking of getting chickens at some some point and as much as I'd love the fresh eggs, I'm not sure I could enjoy having Florence or Clucky for dinner
I don't want to eat Kiev if she's my friend I'm foing veggie when we get chicks I think - the emotional trauma will be to great a burdon

The big problem is cash and the lack of. I am happy it's a humane way (gone up to a .22 as well now) it's just doing the deed that's the prob.
Not an eas thing I know, but at least it won't suffer

Sue is still debating about what she wants to do.
I am still to use my rifle, since the accident
My neighbours fence accident.
