Great Mod, Victorinox if you are looking at this thread this is a great idea! Potentially large market for OH opening blade spirit or swisstool

Actually, OH opening knife blades on the Spirit would be further competition against the Wave/Surge/Charge models - many of whom prefer OHO blades....

Talk about tackling competition even further head-on.  Oh Vic.... :pok: :D

I would have had one of these as soon as they hit the market if Vic would just DO THEM FACTORY (I consider my Wave a complete compromise in favor of OHO.)  Man, that's awesome.  Great work!

Of course, Vic would do something goofy like put it over where the sheepsfoot is and make them serrated, to match the OHT even more :P

Is pretty - very well done.  I'm in agreement with a lot of people in this thread - I wish Victorinox would have OHO on their pliers-based MTs.  I would probably consider purchasing them more if they were.

Well I'm certainly no genius Mark, and I'm fairly certain the Victorinox folks who monitor this site are already aware of it, but if you'd like to forward this thread to them you are more than welcome. :salute:

OK lets have an Auction!   :D

You need to make one more.... with a round hole;  and might as well have it black-oxide coated so it matches the other tools on the BO Spirit-S.

Well Done

The thumb hole was made to resemble the original OHT blade Francis. :) (Had I only known, I could have made it somewhat rounder to resemble the one in the current blade)

WTF Victorinox   .

I wonder if I send Bob my Spirit if he would be kind enough to "use" my Spirit & send it back in a "used" condition.
With OHO blade of course  ;) :D :D :D :D

To be fair - they probably don't want to be seen to be condoning taking their tools apart - they went to a fair amount of trouble to make them tamper-proof.

If they know that there's a bunch of us all looking at this thread, they probably can't afford to look like they encourage it - dunno  :-\

I wonder if the Victorinox person actually noticed/knew the Spirit was a mod  .They could well of just scanned the thread/pic without reading it
Bob's job on the blade looks very OHO Vic like.

I reckon they would really up the ante with a OHO Spirit & SwissTool in their competition with Leatherman + about time they did a make over of their MT range. Vic  :pok: :pok: :pok: :pok:
