I may be a master of ducktape...
on: June 29, 2009, 05:43:35 AM
But I have a lot to learn when it comes to using super glue. The red stuff on my finger is not blood but red foam, I was trying to glue one of my son's toys back together. I got it all over me, the toy and the washing machine. I don't have anything to take it off and I can't drive to the store right now so I gotta wait until tomorrow to get out and get something to remove this.  ::) ::)

It might have to wear off. That should only take a week or so.
A little Leatherman information.

Try some of your wife's nail polish remover, acetone does a great job at removing messes with super glue. All I can tell you is, been there done that! ;)

Probably not the best of ideas, but I used to get it over my hands all the time.  I used to just bite it off.   :D

For what it's worth, after having to write out the hazards of acetone - and a plethora of other chemicals - for organic chemistry, I'd advise just letting it wear off on its own. o.o;

It may well be due to my incompetence but  I've never found superglue to be all that super :(. About the only thing I've had any success sticking with it is my skin.

I usually just file it off my hands when I get it on them.  or carefully peel it off with a sharp knife :)
