I'm getting a Huntsman from him, to give to my son who is a copper, so I am hoping he can help me out with the scientist as well :sak:

Yeah, it's good EDC for me, the basic 2x screwdrivers plus one blade etc is what I want, but my eye's ain't what they used to be so the mag lens in a slim body will be the iceing on the cake! I will let you know how it goes :gimme:

Forgot to say, as some of you know I am still a "newbie" to these forums....and what several of you have said about Neil (and a few others) doing "mods" to SAK's that turn out to be virtualy as good as Vic originals to be truly amazing! I did'nt think people could do stuff like that, unless they had somekind of industrial equiped shed, and the skill and knowledge to go with it, obviously some of you do! Esspecialy Neil apparantly. :salute: I am really glad I "hang out" in here, I feel like a midgit amongst giants!

You always have the option of trying some mods for yourself, it's really not as tricky as you might think.  A little self promoting link to my "how-to".  ;)

Did you check with Swiss Bianco to see if he had any scientists left? That's where I got mine and man it is my favorite.

Do you know a link to Swissbianco? having trouble finding him. I would also buy a passenger if I could find one. Is'nt the Yeoman a "explorer" here in UK? I have two of those on order.

Ah the great Yeoman confusion.  Originally the Yeoman was a three layer SAK comprising of: blade, combo tool, scissors, Phillips and magnifier.    But the name has also been used to describe a American Scout knife that is in fact and Explorer.

Here is an article that explains it better:

So this an original style Yeoman (although this is a re-creation by myself)

And you have this as a Passenger (again done by myself)

I hope that clears things up.

Blimey! I only started this thread 'cos I was looking for a small SAK with a magnifying lens, seems I've stumbled into a world of collectables/wantables/highly desirables and downright hard -to -get-ables :ahhh I find the whole thing facinating! You guys and girls are very knowledgable, I :salute: OK, so I cant seemingly buy "off the shelf" what i require, but I can sure get one made if I want to! Thanks for the several offers I have had, I'll be in touch, PMing some people. Keep the info coming! I am starting another thread in the Swiss forum regarding popular discontinued models. Hope to speak to some of you guys there. Rob

I believe there is a passenger on eBay as we speak.

Not to us Brits unfortunately.  :(

Still it's nice to look, have you a link?  :)
