Victorinox Heritage SoldierKnife
on: July 22, 2009, 06:02:13 PM
Today I finally received the Victorinox Heritage SoldierKnife (after it set over a week in customs and after I got rubbed by them to get it). I got number 0137 out 1884 in series 4 out 4 (the are 4x1884 knives).

The box of the knife is great. It is made from a black wood (look the same as the knife handle), it got Victorinox logo on top and it closed by two leather strips with "press buttons"

The knife comes with a certificate and blue prints. I disappointed from the blue prints because Victorinox could make them a little larger so they would be more clear (not that I am going to build the knife it just if they already added them why not make them clear ?)

The number and series can be found on the knife as well – you need to open the reamer to see it.

Summary: It is a nice knife. You can see the Victorinox quality even in the box (I loved the box). The blue prints kind of disappointing (I expected them to be better). The price is a little bit to expensive (you can find it on ebay for 360$-370$ but don't forget to add shipment and customs if needed).

And two more pictures of the Heritage SoldierKnife, 75' Soldier and 83' Soldier.

After I got that knife I know what I missed when I didn't try to get old Soldier knives until now… Soldier knives here I come…

I am not brave enough to use it... It going to be display queen :D it is really impressive. I think it is much more impressive then the XAVT but maybe because I know what it mean... I wonder if someone who have no idea about saks would think: What more impressive: the XAVT or the Heritage Soldier ?

Are you going to mod it? Maybe a scissors layer...?  :D :D
:o that would be crazy...

You know, It just dawned on me, I will have all the 125th jubilee other than that super expensive knife when my other stuff comes in.

I just might be able to live with that.

So does that include ALL fifeteen versions that Smokey Mountian Knife Works carry (sorry fourteen because they carry the Heritage)?

Not to mention the five kitchen knives that have the 125th Jubilee?

I don't equate kitchen knives as Swiss Army knives. No interest in them at all.

As for the SMKW knives. Are they official Victorinox 125th jubilee items, or an off shoot made for that company? If it is just an exclusive and not an official product, then my original statement still stands correct.
