On Thin Ice
on: July 05, 2009, 10:50:26 PM
This is a BBC program about a race to the South Pole. James Cracknell (an Olympic gold medallist in rowing) had a big blister burst with what I think was a Leatherman Micra.

Looks like they are using a Charge AL/ALX on the trip.

I've done a blister with an awl before, after sterilising it with whiskey.  Worked very well.

Next Sunday AFAIK.

Very luckily I almost never get blisters.  But then I've never skied across the Antarctic for 16 hours a day for a week.  :o

Oh yes, for those who didn't see it the Charge was being used to open up some very serious blisters.  :(

The size those blisters where they did actually make that charge look ike a micra  ;)

They could have done couldn't they.  :(  Luckily I reckon Craig was right, in an earlier episode Dr Edd was cutting at Jame's blisters with a Micra.
