  • I'm not all bad, I'm just drawn that way.
I used to watch it all the time here but it went off the mainstream channels some time ago. I stayed up stupid late for many superbowls and followed the Redskins avidly... kinda miss it :(

Ok, settle down people and I will tell you about my avatar.

Mr. Whippy is obviously in shock that there are in fact Europeans that like American football, and I must admit that I am one of those.
But then you might ask yourself why Green Bay Packers? Well I’m not sure why but as far as I can remember it had something to do with the Super Bowl in 1997, I remember that me and a friend where going to sit up and watch the game and he asked me who I thought would win.

To be honest I had no clue about the teams, I liked the Raiders back then, but I had a good feel for the team with the green shirts and had fans with cheese on their heads. Well my friend had to go home and I fell asleep during halftime. When I woke up the next day I could read that the team with green shirts and fans with cheese on their head had won I was happy, not only because I was right but I liked the team. I also remembered the next Super Bowl and that they lost and that made me little sad.

I don’t follow the football season like it was my life and I can’t watch the games since most of them airs at ungodly times over here, the rules are pretty wage for me and the ones that I do know I have picked up while I was watching games.

But I do like football, NOT soccer.

Mine is a very similar story, I watched it a lot back in the 80's when it got some good coverage on TV.  My friends and I seemed to pick teams to support somewhat at random.  Lots of Dolphin supporters, my best friend liked the Giants, and I got behind the Redskins. I had the No 81 shirt of Art Monk IIRC.

I guess that I have to get a PVR, but it's not the same as when watching it live.

Prediction:

Packers will not come last  :P
