I´ll never get your US knife law. I carry a Police in prison sometimes (im not an inmate ), I took my EDC to university every day AND a SAK (did not have other knives then) to school since primary school - and nobody cared. A boy aged 9 or older who did NOT carry a SAK about 20 years ago was considered a baby - most of my classmates had SAKs (even some girls had), 2 pretty cool guys had daddys LM Supertool back then! (Was way too expensive for my parents to give it a kid back then!) Times are changing, sad times are coming. Poor kids of 2009!

I was discussing Scouts /Guides with my wife last week. When I was a lad in the Scouts you were expected to carry a sheaf knife on your belt when on camp, it was part of your kit list. Times change

My wife (to whom I've been lucky enough to be wed for 33 years as of this Friday!) EDCs a Vic Executive and two LED lights on her keychain. She's got a few other SAKs in her desk at home and at work and a SwissChamp in her car's glove box, but those are all my doing. The Exec was her idea, and she likes it.

We actually had our anniversary dinner out tonight because we're going out to a play tomorrow night with my mom and dad (who are in their late 70s and fun to do stuff like that with.) Tonight we went to a French restaurant in honor of our having seen the movie "Julie and Julia" a few nights ago (a movie about Julia Child's book about French cooking).- Tim
