My battery pigs.

Surefire G2-My field light. It's nice and bright, waterproof and shock resistant. At 35 bucks if it dies somehow in the woods,I'm not to concerned. The only drawback to this light is it's a battery pig.

Surefire Outdoorsman E2O
-Basically a E2e with the reduced output bulb. This model was only released for a short time and discontinued when the low output/long runtime bulb was made a regular item.Great light.Well made CNC machined and anodized Aluminum. It's got the "clicky" tailcap, nice long pocket clip(which at the time was one of the selling points),light weight and is easy on the batteries. Plenty tough for the woods, but too pretty to risk. I EDC this in garrison only as part of my "bling". 8) :D

My workhorses

#2 Grohman
-Best fixed blade field knife I've ever owned, bar none. There is better out there for sure, but for me it's got everything I need.I also bought the closed sheath as it only came with an open style sheath.

Leatherman Expanse e33Tx-Nice little folder for light work.Part of my garrison "bling".

That's it so far.I hope to add a BO Surge for field work so I can retire my Charge.I love my Charge but I really like the blade changer on the Surge and the "beefiness" of the pliers.Supertool 300 looks like a winner as well.

Gday mate  :D :D.
Your job sure sounds interesting mate.
Love my Trade.Something different everyday.

Nice kit mate  :tu: :tu:.
I am a big fan of the Surge's tool exchanger too I wish LM would extended the concept though with other tools & put the exchanger into different models  .

You have to tell us how the Gerber bite you  :pok: :D :D :D

"Daddy,whats that scar from?"
"Well son,I was a young Pte back in the great war of 1994".... :D

When I first joined I went and picked up a Gerber MT with my first pay.I dont even think it had a fancy name.It only came with blunt nose pliers, always pinched the palm of your hand and saftey locks on MTs were nonexistent. After a little use, that Gerber was as loose as a goose, blades and all.I was cutting something(Can't remember what)and it was wet outside(light rain).
Hindsight being 20-20,I should have been cutting downward but I wasn't.As I cut through upwards, the blade partially collapsed toward the handle and my hand slipped on the smooth finish of the tool and put my thumb right along the blade.4 stitches later, some choice words and a bit of anger management directed towards the tool in question,I went out and picked up a Leatherman.
