I was wondering because I'm really getting tired of my zippo's needing refills and
bics and cheapies are ... cheap!

I'm really wanting alternative smoking/lighting tools

The most common brand I have is Ronson and one in particular, the Cadet, sees a lot of use as it is easy to light and holds fuel forever.  Another lighter I commonly carry is a Dunhill lift arm one.  Functionally this is great as it lights very easily, holds fuel in very well and has a huge chamber for fuel to go into.  Those aren't cheap though.  Zippo's are great lighters but since I have got these oldies, I haven't carried one for a long time.  Soon I will be doing up another one which is crying out to me to put a new wick in it.

If you are going "oldskool" and are happy to pay a few bucks, see if you can get a nice petrol Dunhill.  They are very solidly built.  A cheaper option are Ronson's which, at least over here, are easily repaired and parts are easily obtained.  They again are very nicely built and the fuel in mine lasts for ages.

And has been pointed out, its a much cooler looking flag

Reading this made me think a bit about my own flag, being from the IOW i knew we had a flag with a lot of history and thought it might be nice to show it off and I dicovered this was going on

I've gone for the Welsh flag - I consider myself Welsh first and then British second.  I'm damned proud to be British, but us Welshies have a strong national identity, so I hope this doesn't offend any of you guys       The way I see it, as the countries are so closely linked, I see being Welsh the same as being British, just like being English/Scottish/Northern Irish is the same as being British... we're all strong parts of each other's histories and national identities.  I hope that makes sense

I love the banter between the Scots, English and Welsh.  Sometimes it gets a bit heated, but its almost always good natured and well meant.  My best friend is an Englishman, and the England-Wales match days are some of the best days I've had.

Yup the old one was what I wanted too, 

 I think I might just add my name to the pertioin to ignore the new effort.
We've got a large nautical history on the island and a lot of boatuing folk know our flag as it was I don't want to change.  Add to that my home town Ventnor has regenerated it's harbour rtecently and we want to be reconised again

I'll semi Welsh. I wish the Dragon was on the Union flag, there's nothing for Wales at the the moment and it if done properly it could look good.
