Old wave? probably not eh?
on: October 11, 2009, 05:20:00 PM
Found this last week when I got the ITS Tools catalogue and for all I can tell it's the same as an original wave, but seems to be missing the leathermen logo on the blade handle

http://www.itslondon.co.uk/pd_PROMT1126_PROMT1126_ITSMultiTool.htm

The web link is pretty poor for picture quality but the catalogue image is convincing even looks like it says USA on the plier head,
I got this reply when inquiring about it's authenticity and the poor web image,

Good morning.
Thank you for your email.
Unfortunately I do not have a higher quality image of the PROMT1126 but I can assure you that is that same as the catalogue product.

Regards,

Jack Taylor

So, does anyone else fancy inquiring to it's authenticity  >:D >:D

Theres something on the plier head that sure looks like it does in the catalogue but the image is just a bit small to be sure

I think I see a brass thumb stud like the one in DaveK's thread here:

http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,13689.0.html

So knock-off IMO.

Hmmm, it does seem like a stud but the paper catalogue clearly had a thumb hole in the blade, I'll try and upload a scan from work.

Glad you posted that link I missed it first time around  :tu:

If it is the same, you can get them a lot cheaper. Although, I wouldn't tbh. (They ain't very good)!
I used to come here a lot.

I would thinks it's a knockoff :) Unless they repackaged it, the packaging isn't for a LM product either ;) :tu: By the sounds of it you might wanna pass on it :D
