We can't get anything Wintergreen flavour over here - personally I love it but it's an acquired taste! There are some things that we can get here but are stupidly expensive - Lucky Charms, Fluff etc because they are only sold in premium shops like Selfridges.

So I'd suggest:
Wintergreen sweets
Cinnamon Altoids - Altoids are made in the UK but we can only get the mint ones!
a bag of the tiny Reece's peanut butter cups
Good flavoured beef jerky - we can only get tiny bags of bland stuff. Teriaki is my favourite! (Nuph just told me that sending meat is not allowed, so best ignore that one!)

Hope that helps!

You can still get UK made altoids? Can you give me a link where I can buy some at? I have one box of pepperment ones left that I bought in 06.

All Altoids, AFAIK, are made in Great Britain, AL.

And Kelly, mind sending me a copy of your grandmum's apple butter recipe, plus any others of note? ^^;

... Since when did they shift production? o.O  Hmm, I do see that they dropped the "Made in Great Britain" from the tin, but on the paper insert, I think it's still stated; they are distributed in the US from a company based in Chicago, but I do not believe they make them.  As for the tins made in China, who's to say the original Altoids tins weren't made there, too?

I'm looking at an old tin now and it says "Made in Great Britain" on the bottom.

What about apple butter and apple jelly?  My friend LOVED that stuff when she got it over here...especially the apple jelly.  The apple butter my aunt's recipe and I must admit it's the best. :)  HK, what do you mean Fluff?  That marshmallow stuff in a jar?

Yes, that's the stuff  :) Slap some into a toasted sandwich with peanut butter and chocolate spread  Used to be my favourite 'just back home in the early hours of the morning and got the munchies' snack.  >:D

How I haven't got a mouth full of cavities and diabetes is anyone's guess  ???
The mints are made in Tennessee now. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Altoids

Does that matter? Surely that would only make them even more difficult for someone in the UK to obtain  :twak:

Created in the UK in the 1780s and production moved to the states at some point after 2005. Over 200 years of production in the UK. Guess that makes it a British product. Quite a lot of products previously manufactured in the UK have been outsourced to cheaper labour in other countries. British expertise is expensive  ;)

They are yummy though aren't they

Ah, got it.  I didn't know that Altoids were originally made in the UK...the things I learn on this forum.  :)

Yep, I used to buy them over there as you couldn't actually get them here (other than the mint flavour I think), which is just stupid

My favorite Altoids flavor is the black licorice...followed by ginger.  :P

I'll see if I can get you some other recipes Saz but my aunt has passed away and can't give me her recipe.  My mom has one but it isn't nearly as good as Aunt Daisy's apple butter.  My mom has a killer recipe for blackberry jam though.  :)  I'll see if I can get that.  :)

Altoids sour chewing gum, Apple flavour.  Not seen them available over here.  Rather nice but the apple flavour doesn't last very long at all.

We don't have Baby Ruth bars either.
I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.
