Nuphoria, I have been collecting something or other since I was very young. It started off with stamps, then progressed to coins, then ultimately to Canadian First Day Covers. I have an agreement with one of the local postal outlets. They put aside one copy of every FDC Canada produces as they are issued. I go and collect 4 times a year. I have been doing this since 89.
I have always been interested in Multi-tools, but The MT collection started in earnest after I had gathered my father's possessions. I noted that I had enough of them to call a small collection. I had started to collect a few new MTs by the time I joined up as a member on this forum. I wish I could say I was lurking all that time, but I only saw the home page with the official reviews, and only joined up once I noted the forum button in the list. Since then, I have focused mostly on Leatherman tools in recent times. I am at the point where it is harder and harder to collect different ones. In fact, I am quite satisfied with the current Leatherman collection as it stands right now, leading me to focus on...
SAKs I find highly interesting. There are so many versions and variants of some of the versions out there, it is almost mind boggling. I was put off of them when I was a young boy when my father got me the cheapest knock off ever. The SAK love came from this web site though. In fact, I find it sort of ironic that for the first two months I denied that I was hooked on and collecting SAKs. The first order from Tim was just a feeler to see what all the fuss was about. Then I stumbled upon some Wengers at one of the local shops. The rest has been an enjoyable ride.
Now that I have a nice big storage chest to fill up, who knows. I do know I can't keep going gung ho. At some time, I will have to slow down to smell the roses so to speak.
Gareth, thank you.
jzmtl, it is all kept under lock and key now. As for itemization, soon will be time for another group shot. I am just waiting for the next couple of weeks and a few shipments to grace my door.
