Just bought a new pack
on: November 12, 2009, 01:22:24 AM
As the title states, I broke down & spent money that I really didn't want to, but sometimes you have to get the sales while you can. My wife & I take internet surveys for gift cards & coupons & such (as I've said before I'm a cheap SOB) & we had a $100 off $275 @ e-bags & they had a sale goin on, pretty much 20% off sitewide until tomorrow. So I broke down & we got her a nice carry on garment bag & me a Kelty Cache Hauler. It'll be here in about a week & will replace my current bug out bag. I was wonderin' if anyone here had one, had used one, or had any reviews, positive, negative, or indifferent towards it.

Nope.  I have a Large Gregory pack (old), and a couple Cilogear packs--30L and 40L size.  Also have a Golite Race pack (superlight and water resistant).  I'm also a big fan of Mystery Ranch (Dana Gleason).

Got pics of the Kelty?

I've not tried that particular model, but Kelty make a good pack regardless. I think you'll be very happy with it. :)

I've only heard good things about Kelty too - not that available over here sadly.

Hope it works out for you  :tu:

Not too bad of a bag. I don't dig external frame packs, since they don't feel comfortable on my, and sometimes bang my collarbone funny ::)

But I do LOVE Osprey packs. Never thought I would say this, but they are possibly the most comfortable packs I have ever tried, and just awesome all around. And Black Diamond makes a mean pack as well. :tu:
