That would be cool! I'm suprised they didn't think of that.  :D

Bright-Strike, I'm sorry I just can't take it seriously when the same manufacturer also makes the tactical ball.

"Tactical Balls® RID-3 were never intended to replace flashbangs. We have a saying at BSTI, that on a scale of 1 to 10, with a flashbang at a 10, we would rate the Tactical Balls® RID-3 at a two, but a two is still twice as good as nothing!"

At least they are honest that their product is crap.

Quick question: Isn't nothing 0? So isn't twice nothing 2*0? Isn't that 0? Actually the more I think about it, maybe the Tactical Balls are twice as good as nothing.  :D

Tactical ball for night adapted vision red led

FYI....  This light and the Brite Strike are made by Nuwai.  See here:

http://www.nuwai.com.tw/luxeon_rebel_led/tm_308xr.htm

It's a Rebel emitter, and there's no way I could justify spending $150 on this.

By the same reasoning, wouldn't a flashbang be ten times as good as nothing?  That would make both of them--flashbangs and tactical balls--worth nothing.  Two is twice as much (good) as 1, not 0.

...just sayin'!   :D

Doesn't Rambo have tactical balls?

Also, just remember that $150 is MSRP.  Street price will probably be around $100 or less probably.

Sometimes with flashlights it's not so much about the price but rather trusted proven reliability in build and performance,we'll see how this SOG fairs along the way here's hoping it proves it's self  :tu:

A surefire 6PL MSRP is $90 or so... Or better yet you can get a Streamlight Scorpion LED for around $40 on Amazon... Better proven lights for less money.

You can also buy a number of other Chinese-manufactured lights for around $70 that would put this one to shame.

Oh well.  I guess we'll have to see what it's all about when someone gets one and gives us a review.  :pok:

Its been old for a while seeing its a rebrand. They should have taken note of what Leatherman, Victorinox and, Wenger did and used a respectable flashlight company.

I would consider Emissive Energy (Inova) a respectable company.  It is unfortunate that the Victorinox models were based on technology that was less than current.

Ah, nevermind.  I read your post again and it made sense this time.   :D

I don't think they're crap.  The numbers are the same as with my Fenix PD1.  But the Fenix is ~$50 rather than $150... :-\

In the strobe setting it bombards you with subliminal SOG logos. It distracts the bad guy by making him have a sudden irresistible urge to go buy a Powerlock
