Was searching for info on Green River Knives and came across this site:  http://home.att.net/~mman/index.htm

Covers equipment, trade goods, prices, clothing, culture, exploits, and more.

Have read a couple of books on Mountain Men, but I'm certainly no expert on the topic.  This site offers lots of fascinating material that I'd never seen before.

That's pretty sweet. I love doing old trapper canoe routes in Manitoba, so much hard work. Thanks for the post! :tu:
