I can't sleep and I'm punchy and I'm watching Bones and it got me wondering if anyone besides me (and Booth) name stuff and if so what is the object and what is the name and why?

Giant Rincon Mt Bike: Cappy, short for Captain Kathryn Janeway (it's red, she has red hair 'nough said)
Cannondale T800 bike: Bet you can guess this one!!!!  Seven!!!
Subaru: When she's good her name is Roo (Not very original but...) When she's bad her name is every colorful enunciation I can think of and in a variety of combinations

The only objects I name are my computers. The one I'm on right now is LostGirl...there's also Crash and Tweak, along with a few others.

I regurarly call people names, if that counts... (just kidding of course)

I name all of the computers I own/administer after their function (e.g. "gatekeeper" being a typical firewall name, "valkyrie" a typical notebook one, and "all-evil" a server name (so that I can be "the root of all-evil" )). Other than that, my car is called "Alfa" (for Alfa Romeo), my EDC MT is "Spirit" (for, you guessed it, Spirit), etc...
