So, I've been working over my Leatherman tools over the last week or so. I've hit small patches of reality.
Juice Kf4: I needed to loosen the coverplate screws on a junction box which lives in an outdoor environment. Needless to say, corrosion is an issue. I used the flat driver that fit perfectly in the slot and applied torque. It never popped out of the slot, but after a few tries I realized the screw wouldn't be coming out that way. Looking at the driver, I was sad to see that there was a slight twist in it, and a small bite out of a corner. It filed down fine, but honestly, there wasn't that much torque applied. (Middle sized driver for those who are interested)
Charge ALX: I found out the hard way why an awl would be handy. I needed to press the release in the back of some electrical outlets. Nothing on the ALX would work except the small bit driver. After a couple cycles of this, the bit broke off flush with the driver holder. I had to finally push out the spring, to get the broken bits out. The spring is a little out of shape but seems to function OK. Still, I kinda felt a bit let down.
However, I guess it's good to know where the limits are.
