So I wanna make a super PC (politically correct) SAK that'll pass through air travel, obviously I will remove the blade layer. However, I do have a question... are can openers weapons? Anyone know? :(

I suspect they are tbh. Some of the things that aren't allowed are bleeding stupid.

I'd be wary of trying to take any SAK / tool through airport security these days. They are totally paranoid.
I used to come here a lot.

Don't be surprised if they see the red scales or general "look" of a Swiss Army KNIFE, and confiscate it, regardless of any blades or saws.

Is what I was thinking... I figure if they call me on it I could pull out all the tools and prove it's not dangerous.

I guess there goes the awl and can opener... hrmmm... no idea what I can mod in its place.

And eww, what's with the name change? :P

Dude, how slow are you?  :D

Seems a bit of a pointless exercise really considering just how few tools you ould actually use.  Unless of course you are desparate for a edc hook.  :D

to be honest, I think you could remove all the tools and end up with two pieces of red plastic and some airport security rentacop would still confiscate it.

In all my tavel experience anything that is a tool is confiscated.. no mater how blunt it may be.

Thats why i now have a Vic quattro screwdriver on my anklet inbetween two dog tags (actual dog ones).
i always wondered how much metal it takes to dest off the detectors... i always do with my clothing and jewellery.
