My headache has gone  :tu:, but my cold is worse and I am even more exhausted as I had to spend the night sleeping on the sofa tryingto get an ill Ozzie to go to sleep.  Got to leave for work in a couple of hours for a late shift as well.  :(

don't worry, things typically go from bad to worse, then the cycle repeats  ;)

They'd allow you to work where you do whilst you're sick?  That's a whole bunch of pneumonia cases waiting to happen...   :ahhh

Staffing is officially at crisis point and there are many members across site going on long term sick leave with stress which then just makes more stress. My role is not one where I can just call in for.  If I call in sick another manager has to come in and they are sick as well.

All the kids at work have it and that's where I got it from. It's not like I am bringing in more germs.
I'm back!!

Sympathy sent mate.  Long stressful hours, two wee ones and a baby, plus not enough sleep, it's no wonder you're feeling under the weather. :-\  A large drink of your choice, a soak in a bath and as much sleep as you can manage (even cat naps help IMO) will help some. :salute:

Cheers bud.

On top of the feeling like crap, the lack of sleep, the nightmare at work, the baby and the 2 kids, the lack of money, I also have a bloody management course that needs to be completed in 3 weeks.  :o

It's all go this end I can tell ya.  :D

Sorry you're feeling poo. I strongly suggest some Berrocca for the exhaustion. It's a super strength multivitamin. They really help when you're run down and ill and working but they don't contain caffeine or any nasties that make you worse. Just remember take one EVERY day. You can get fizzy ones that you put in a glass of water that taste like the mix from Mr Frosty or the tablets. I prefer the tablets. You may baulk at the price but they are worth every penny and the £7 is less than you'd lose if you get proper ill and have to take time off. These clever little guys get me through 70 hour weeks without keeling over.

Also, if you want some help with your management homework, give me a shout. Happy to help  :tu:

Get well soon.

Thanks for the info, I'll check them out.  :)

The course I am currently doing is labelled as being an ILM course.  It's really designed at new managers but due to me doing other things (NVQ etc) I have managed to get out of it for 3 years.  :D

What makes me laugh is that on the course I am the most experinced manager by over 3 years and I find it shocking just how bad some of the others are.

Based on the information provided I thought it meant "I like men". But what do I know?   ;)

It doesn't matter how long some people manage or how many courses they do, they'll always be dreadful managers. They seem to miss the point that managing is all about people  :D

Just an update...

My cold has progressively gotten worse, but I have cleared the sore throat, cough and headaches.  :tu:  My kids now all have the same thing, Ella being even worse and having a stomach bug as well.  I have spent the last 4 nights on the sofa either with a crying baby, a bunged up boy or a puking girl whilst still going to work.  I flaked out last night at about 11.30 (that's early for me) and still feel like cack today.

Fun ey.  :D

Anyone in the house been vaccinated for H1N1 or traditional influenza?  Sounds like a real possiblility (if there is a real fever involved (40C sort of range).

Crap!  It musta been reading your posts...

My computer crashed last Thursday with a bunch of Trojan viruses.  Had to reload the OS.  >:(

(Actually it came in with a smurfhole popup called Internet Shield 2010--AVG picked up on it but my dodgey mousepad clicked in a bad zone as I was heading over to the AVG window... :()
