Is this a gadget/ screwdriver set
on: February 10, 2010, 12:31:53 AM
I picked this up in Robert Dyas yesterday for 6quid  :)
If you need a set of little screwdrivers to fix stuff like glasses I think this will  do the trick,
There are eight bits 3torx, 3cross head and 2flat heads
There's a LED light pointing in the same direction as the bit being used
It is a well made bit of kit but It feels a bit clumsy to use because of the shape,
not quite as good a feel as a tiny screwdriver but much cooler  :tu:

The shape would put me off.  I've seen quite a few multi-drivers made/branded by them including the more traditional shapes.  Quality varies from product to product which leads me to believe they're a brand rather than a manufacturer.
I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.

I know what you mean about the shape, I will use it about twice a year so I don't think it will be a problem for me,
It seems well made and quite solid hopefully the bits are made from good steel,
And when you loose all the bits I think it will be easy to 'mod'!

Is there anything stopping it closing when you're trying to use it?

There is a small ball bearing that holds it in position but its not 'load bearing'
so the answer is Only your finger and thumb but I don't think its a problem,
probably
