Hey guys. Found this forum a few days ago (during a snow storm), and haven't stop reading since.  Great information and a great group of people. I carry a LM Charge TI as my EDC.  Ok, back to reading for now.

Thanks,

Totally agree about the Charge TI, great tool. I want to add a new MT, but don't know which way to go.  I don't really see any way of upgrading from the Charge; been carrying it for a few years and love it.  I would consider myself a LM guy. I have my Charge, Juice S2, Skeletool CX, and Micra S4.  Not really into SOG's or Gerbers, but the Vic Spirit X has caught my attention.  I have read a lot of great reviews on it.  I am also interested in possibly picking up the Juice Xe6.  Any thoughts or advice?

welcome to the forum Rhino.

The XE6 will be just like your Juice S2 only more onboard tools, nothing earth shattering.   Unless you feel your S2 isn't cutting it, you may not be impressed. Personally I found the Juice CS4 to be the best compromise between the two.

As far as the Spirit goes, if past performance is any indicator of future results I dare say you will love this tool if you get one.  You may find it doesn't offer a compelling reason to carry it over the TTi, but the Spirit is a fine piece of engineering and a very well made tool.

Have fun, but in my opinion you are already carrying one of the best tools out there.  The Charge TTi has a guthook, and an S30V blade.  The guthook alone makes it a great upgrade to the Ti.

Thanks for the comments!!  I think you're right about the different Juice's (probably just stick with my S2).  I am leaning toward getting the Spirit; it would be interesting to try something new.  I really love my Charge TI and don't think I will be able to replace it as my EDC.

If it were me, based on what you have already, I'd go one of the following 3 ways:

1) Try another brand (like Vic Spirit);
2) Try a big Leatherman (Surge, Supertool 300 etc);
3) Try an "old school" Leatherman (PST, Pulse etc).

In fact, I wouldn't do one of those three things at all, I'd do all three. For starters ;)

Seriously, any / all of the above should introduce you to something new and broaden your experience a bit. Welcome to mt.o  :cheers:
