Kmarr's file broke and I have nothing to slip in its place for now so I have one arm VOID of tools.  On the other side(from left to right) can opener, philips, big screwdriver, awl, bottle opener, plain edge blade.
When it gets warmer, I'll prob put in the saw and remove the large screwdriver.

All I have is stock tool load outs. :-\ (or is that what you were asking?)
In order to be certain of having the right tool for every job.........one must first acquire a lot of tools

Even thou the tools are swappable, given the limited number of tools available, there actually aren't a lot of variations.

I think that I have a pretty loaded SOG.
I have no problem with closing or opening the pliers  Only the lower handle cover has an item to close perfect.
The components locks perfect.

hold up here sir, you can have a v-cutter next to the saw and still close the tool?
this makes me wonder what other strange variations can be possible

The v-cutter is next to the knife and before the screw driver-can opener. If you don't try it you don't know if it works.  ;)
The problem with the new piano lock is that you can't do that combination cause the tools is gonna be between the locks.  :D

Whoa!

Is it just me or is that a large plain blade?

Now that's a loaded SOG...

So one with a S60 could go Saw~File~V-Cutter! on one side and Plain Edge~Combo Edge~Scissors on the other.

That's worth looking into.

Still wish they had a #2 Philips instead of the #1

I think they should have both #1 and #2 philips and ditch the 1/4" drive :tu:

I like the idea that they have expanded cabability, but if I were to carry hex bits too, I'd rather have the "plus" tool set from the swisstool.  Its completely detached from the tool so if you don't want to carry it, its gone. Unlike the SOG 1/4" drive, which stays with the tool and becomes useless without the bits or sockets.

I guess its all preference :-\

I ve stacked an elastic fiber on my sheaths and secure well the socket and in the sheath fixes fine with tool, the leatherman bit kit. So in my opinion the 1/4 adapter is like 10 tools together. Of course the perfect sheath for every M/T is the nylon Leatherman sheath witch came with bit kit. The elastic fabric on the right, left and back of the sheath is perfect to securely Carry bit kits, socket and a mini maglight.
Anyway every thing is a matter of preferences as the friend before said.

The way I see it, the quarter inch drive would be very redundant if it's sole purpose was to be a nut driver(ie, sockets only), but one of the things that drew me to the powerlock was the ability to use a specialty bit with a quarter inch adapter.  I have a HUGE need for a TR20(tamper resistant torx 20) in my job, and LM doesn't make one for their bit drivers.  I tried grinding one down, which worked well, except I have a huge tendency to lose them as they get quite small and don't stay in the LM bit cards.  Enter my new powerlock(hopefully it will be here friday  :salute: ) and I can carry just the powerlock and adapter/bit in my pocket.  No losing it, no special time consuming grinding, and any other hex bit will fit.  SWEET!

They make torx wrenches that look like the "L" shaped allen wrenches.  Can't you just carry one of those instead of the bit + adapter + 2 tool spaces in your PL?

You could even use a steady hand to drill a hole in it for keyring mount

I have to have the security bit with the hole in the center.  As far as I know it is not made as a standard L shaped wrench.

The LM disassembly tool is usually a TR10, and I have seen it in an L shape, but I have yet to come across an L shaped TR20.  It would stand to reason that they should make a set of them, but from what I have seen of existing security Torx bits, it would cost $20 or more.
