I agree :tu: The core has all the same tools as the st300 except the wire cutters. I think it is lighter because of the inserts in the handles. This is a very good tool that does not get much attention. It will now that it is retired though. enjoy :tu:

Without a doubt.  The ST300 is very much the next generation of this line of tools.  A very good overview of the heritage of the Super Tool/200/Core/300 can be seen here, by over very own DaveK.

I saw these 3 videos a few days ago...

Excellent videos!

Couldn't resist and ordered a 300 shortly after watching...

I had seen several videos on the 300, but these were the deal makers..

cheers mat i just read through it, i think ive made the right choice for me, and the swiss tool at a later date, the core will mainly live in my rucksack so not worried about its extra weight, plus as far as i can see its 19 tools is the most on a LM tool, so combined with the micra with its scissors all good  :tu: now im going to be waiting at the door for the PO man like a big kid  :mail:

What this show so well is that LM have a good universal Phillips driver, as Dave says in the video he's using Pozidrive screws that are by far and away the most common screw head in Europe.  The problem is that all the main makers still put Phillips drivers on their tools and frankly they don't fit Pozidrive screws properly, hence the slipping.  As I said the fact that LM have made a driver that works well on both types of screw is all credit to them.
