Hi all! 
Just wanted to give ya'll a heads up about a really great blog that I recently started following.  It's called Oregon Expat http://oregonexpat.wordpress.com/ .  It was started by a really fascinating woman who used to live in Oregon but moved to Portugal.  She is a scientist but writes about all kinds of cool stuff.  No MT's or SAK's or anything yet, but lots of other neat stuff.  If you wanna check her out.
