Paper
on: March 22, 2010, 06:53:17 AM
Does anybody EDC paper or 3x5 cards? I seem to always need somewhere to write quick notes. I rather not add something to my EDC, so has anybody found a good little notebook that will fit in a wallet?

I don't EDC paper, or know specific dimensions for your wallet, but check out the Rite In The Rain notebooks. Waterproof paper is always a plus. :tu:

+1, though I actually have these little cheap Staples notebooks in my notebook organizer rather than my Rite in the Rains. ::)
Got those frog legs.

I think I found a solution for now, I made a little notepad, 3.5" x 3". It has a layer of card stock, six sheets of paper, then a cut piece of a 3 x 5 card. Fits perfect in my wallet.

Rite in the Rain notepads are useful and easy to slip into a pocket, but you could easily got for something less... well... waterproof if you want.

An A6 notepad with most of the pages removed would provide you with some paper without taking up too much room.  You could even get a big pair of scissors and cut a notebook to the size you require.

I still find the back of my hand a great makeshift notebook though :)

Franklin Covey makes an organizer based on 3x5 index cards . I'm afraid that i would write something down , then misslay the card . I carry Rhodia pads , and write in the rain during hot /humid weather .

Certain details in my life seem to show up in thread form

My friend was looking for a pen in his pocket and came up empty.  I always carry a small pen so BAM I whipped it out and saw his face light up with envy.  He then asks "wait...do you have any paper?"   >:( DAMMIT I was unprepared!!!

Now I carry something like 10 wallet size cards in my....wallet. ::)
along with some band-aids :tu:

Go to a website called pocketmods and you can turn a single sheet of standard paper into a small notebook with customizeable pages.

That's cool, but it doesn't fit my wallet.

I usually have enough old receipts and other paper remnants in my wallet that I don't need any extra paper.
Common sense ..... so rare, it's virtually a super power.
