Laziest mods ever

Why are the mods here so lazy? There have been 5 requests to sticky Chako's excellent thread http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,18507.0.html and nothing has happened. I don't care if we were down for a day. Get it together people. 






















Just kidding.  The mods here are great. But really sticky the thread.

Yeah but if you we're waiting for a competent Mod, you'd have a lot longer than 3 minutes to wait

FWIW - I agree (in fact I said so on that thread but everyone ignored me. As usual. Hurrumph).

The problem with stickies is that if you have more than a couple in a sub-forum, they very quickly become part of the scenery and nobody notices them any way! Couple that with the fact that the wiki is crying out to have some of the blanks filled in, and Chako's hard work could definitely improve it, and it looks like the right idea to me

Maybe if the pages are created for each tool, and the pictures added, a few more people would be brave enough to start adding some text. Chako's pics are immortalised and everyone wins. The Gerber pics too!

The Multitool Encyclopedia is criminally neglected IMO (and I'm as guilty as anyone), and deserves a concerted effort to buidl on the work that the guys (primarily Bob) have done.

I had a sticky on the end of my finger. I used some tissue to get it off, then quit sticking my finger up my nose. Problem solved.

This thread is supposed to be about how lazy the mods are, not how lazy we are.  Actually you have some good ideas.

I just found this thread. I rarely go into this section of the forums. 

Hmmmm....well I have read some of the help files. I think I am ready to start uploading photos. I need to ask though...would it be permissible to make a new folder, or to dump them into the Leatherman/Gerber folders?

Once I upload them, will others be able to use them on the Encyclopedia? I hope so as I am not that far yet in my readings.

Likewise, do I have to resize them from their 800x600 size to something smaller?

Anyone using the Wiki should be able to use the pictures, and it's probably best to use the existing folders so folks know where to look when looking to use them.  If there isn't an appropriate folder, then you can make a new one.  The entire Wiki is editable.

When you upload the photos, they exist on the wiki at whatever size you upload them, but when embedding them into a page, you can size them to fit.  For example, say you upload an 800x600 photo to the gallery.  The photo is 800x600, but you want to make it a bit smaller when you insert it into a page.  Simply add in the code stating what size you want the picture to appear as, and the picture will appear in that size.  When folks click on the small picture, it will open up full size.
