Got a tattoo?

I know there are a couple of tattoo threads already, but neither seem to answer my question.

I may feel differently as I am in that kinda group of people, but tattoo's seem more and more common these days. So I am curious, who has them, who doesn't and who wants to get them?

I have quite a few and have quite a bit more planned.

It been nearly 16yrs. since I got mine, but I'm planning getting my girls names tatooed on my wrists later this year..

If I haven't met my wife when I did, I would without a doubt have had 2 full sleeves now..

I stopped counting them after about tattoo #40 , but ive not had anymore done in about 6 odd years, money issue mainly as i would be covered,

just two. a barcode on my calf, and a third eye on the heart.
both in black, the second resembling an handbrush script.

I'm not against them, I just can't think of a design that I'm sure I will like for the rest of my life. Also I'm not crazy about the idea of having some decoration that will allow me to be identified with 100% certainty. Of course, these days it seems that logic may be flawed.

I've got my name down my calf, and am planning to have one down in my chest or back maybe.

i want a tat but not like the above...and yes they can tattoo eyeballs now. I saw some show a hwhile

back hwhere they tat'd some guys eye black..like the hwhole eyeball. The artist said if he f d up the guy hwould be blinded. hwow

I like the idea of a tattoo and they look good on some and terrible on others.

I just don't feel passionate enough about something to permanently mark my body $:-\$ Wife & kids don't really count as such. Brother in law has his daughter's name on his inner forearm and it looks great but not for me.

I think if I was in an Army unit or something I could see myself get their regimental badge

That's something to be proud of for all time.

I guess the usual deterrent of 'how will it look when I'm 70' has helped hold me back too

Fan here. I've got 5 so far. I'd love to have a sleeve but in healthcare over here that's just not an option. My biggest ones are on my legs. I only have one that was a "why the hell not". The rest of them were pretty well thought out. I'll probably get my next one in a couple of years, after I complete the Aids/Lifecycle ride. Well, actually if I figure out how to fix one of my other ones I may do that before hand.

It's more or less pointless paranoia, since you'll be identified one way or another, but I share your feelings, which is why I don't have any above the shoulders - face, neck, behind-the-ear etc tattoos are a dead give away.

I've always fancied getting theatre masks (comedy tragedy) done like the makeup from The Crow on my lower back... but here I am at 35 with no ink yet!

I'm wrapped in cellophane and loving it
