Ok, it's my second attempt, but it works! I took a camper apart because I want the saw layer for a future mod(that appears to be beyond my current scope of ability), and I built a spartan out of spare parts from the camper and other knives. Some of the camper parts were chewed up so I hobbled it together from other knives. I had over peened the backspring tool rivet, but a quick tutorial from Neil and I was back up and running. Sorry I don't have any pics, I was too excited to remember to shoot even though my camera was on my bench. It looks old, but everything functions like new with the expected "snap" and no play at all. Granted, it will have to be a garage knife that I use when I am making other knives, because some of the layers are a little, hmmm, warped? Suffice it to say that there is a little too much daylight in places. Oh, well, first(second) try! Anyone got any pointers for making sure the liners lay flat?
