I didnt read it, but I can copy/paste like nobody's business:

The Rangers of the North, also known as Watchers or simply Rangers, were the last remnant of the Dúnedain who had once populated the Northern-kingdom of Arnor.

Characteristically elusive and enigmatic, the Rangers spent most of their lives in the wild, visting towns and villages only on rare occasions. The Rangers were led by Chieftains. These Chieftains could trace their lines back to Isildur himself and his father Elendil. Though the Chieftains were designated figures of authority for the Rangers, the scattered people had no official headquarters or capitol after the disentigration of Arnor.

At the time of the War of the Ring, the Rangers of the North were led by Aragorn, future king of the reunited kingdoms of Gondor and Arnor. But despite Aragorn's leadership, most of the Rangers remained scattered and diminished. Therefore, when the ranger Halbarad endeavored to aid Aragorn in the War, he could muster no more than thirty Rangers to join him.

The Rangers usually wore grey or dark green cloaks with no identifying ornaments except a six-pointed cloak-clasp in the shape of a star. [/color] Equipped primarily with swords and bows, they were quick, versatile, and experienced riders.

The Rangers of Ithilien, much like their distant cousins the Rangers of the North, were a military group whose purpose was to defend Ithilien, the gate to Minas Tirith, and to prevent Haradrim from entering Mordor.

They were selected from the descendants of the people who had dwelt in Ithilien before it fell from Gondor's control in TA 2901. They were camouflaged in green and brown cloaks, and fought in a style resembling modern Guerilla Warfare; that is, stealth, sneak attacks, etc. They often crossed the Anduin in secret to harass the forces of the Enemy in Gondor's old domain.

The Rangers often conducted ambushes against the Haradrim (digging traps for their Mumakil), attacked Orc scouts, and protected the old road from Minas Morgul to Osgiliath. Ranger attacks were feared and dreaded by all of the enemies of Gondor, being able to slaughter entire battalions unawares. In the Two Towers movie, a company of Faramir's rangers waylay a battalion of Haradrim, killing even their mumakil. They were very deadly with a bow (which was their primary weapon) and they were nearly as skillful at stealth as the elves, even if they had only heard of them in stories at the fireside. Their chief at the time of the War of the Ring was Faramir, Captain of Gondor, and future Prince of Ithilien.

Is answer in there somewhere?

John Ronald Reuel Tolkien and Karl Elsener both were level 5 wizards in Middle Earth and Hogwarts. They fought many battles together on the fields of Mirkwood and the township of Kings Cross. A Vic Ranger was the hidden 4th horcrux made by Elsener in case he was fallen by one of OCP's many ED-209's sub-contracted by Sky-Nets Cyberdyne Corporation. Clarence Boddicker , an employee from OCP, stole the Ranger and was consumed by it's power. Marty McFly traveled back from November 5th, 1955 to recapture the sports almanac and the Vic Ranger from Clarence. Marty lost the Ranger when he ran out of flux for his capasitor.

The Vic Ranger was found years later by a small Hobbitt Déagol and his cousin Kingsley Shacklebolt while feeding Buckbeak by the Citadel of Minas Tirith.

this you know..... ::)

The Ranger was not happy being away from its rightful lineage and lost itself again to the grains of the hourglass. Many years before Karl had a twinkle in his eye for shiny things John Ronald Reuel Tolkien wrote another lesser known book titled Tobin's Spirit Guide. Three independent parapsychologists (Peter Venkman, Raymond Stantz, and Egon Spengler ) come across the instructions on how to pull the Vic Ranger across a multispiritual dimensional plane while researching One Eyed Willie and his treasure cache hidden in the mines of Moria. Karl already knew about and planned this thanks to the wisdom of Dumbledore providing Miss Grangier with a time turner instead of a much slower and less reliable Delorean..with a faulty Mr. Fusion.

Sloth and Chunk however were plotting this whole time to capture the Vic Ranger when it was pulled through the dimensional plane...by using proton packs at the right moment. In a moment of madness and sheer excitement they forgot about crossing the streams. Instant total protonic reversal!

Agree with Pacu having the funkiest answer :D will send him a pm :cheers:

The right answer is: Hobbits have a tradition of giving gifts to others on the birthday, (it's my birthday today) and since I can't give a gift to everyone I made the giveaway :D :cheers:

p.s. since I don't believe in 2nd places Pacu gets a Vic Ranger as well :)
