Japanese Card style survival tool with stone
on: April 05, 2010, 04:46:01 PM
Seems like someone was drooling over one of these awhile back but not sure who. I think there is a pictorial done by Chako before. I have one myself and can attest to their strength and quality heavy weighted design. The seller is great to deal with so no worries there.

BTW, the stone comes out from the metal clip. I am not sure just why but maybe its for sharpening the blade if needed?

Looks interesting.. but no way I will get something that cost 1/9 of the shipping price.  :-\ And I thought that the blade would be a little hard to use, with the body in the way...?

There is no way that the current price will be the selling price. That seller has a large following because he is a great seller.

BTW, mine weighs in at 3.5 oz or about 100 gm. Hefty indeed. I really think it was overbuilt myself.

What would you guess it'll sell for?  I would quite like one.
I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.

I don't have one of those stressmaster5000. You must have seen it from someone else.

Hmmm.OK, must be someone else that had one.

No idea really but it is pretty well built and looks nice. Mine has a simulated leather case with markings for "The Nature Company". Personally I can't see it going for too much but I might think near the real Swiss Card prices might do it. $10 US or so maybe???

Oh, don't go by my word on it. I have not been bidding on cards for awhile. Mine was bought in a lot so I never had to test it out as far as "worth".

Sold one just like it recently.  Its  a hefty beast of a card tool!  Solid.  Went for 10.00

Thought it might go for more, but such is life.  Check the pics I took of the directions...
