What is the Wenger steel?

Hi

What is the Wenger steel specs? On the 85mm range f.example. It is martensittic stainless maybe very close to Victorinox not sure, I have noticed that the Wenger steel has another color or shine and i am not an expert is the shine variation because of the hardening/anealing process? HRC?. Anybody?

ps i thought at first that the color variation is because of the polishing but i am not convinced!

Hardness seems about the same, but that's all I know

I'd imagine the steel's are the same, or very, very close

Yes i will imagine they are close, Wenger has never sad much on the steel except is quality stainless and i agree with that.
Understand if they keep it a secret i can accept that easy

I don't think anyone knows. A while ago I was wondering the same thing but couldn't find that info anywhere.
