This show runs on the science channel. Just saw a cool episode on Gerber Knives. The model was a millitary issue not available to the public. Steel was cut with a laser than shapped, knife had half serated tanto blade and was fully automatic opening, body looked like the gerber firestorm, but was kinda different. They showed a lot of the manufacturing processes, very cool.

Sounds like the knife my friend got while stationed in Afghanistan, military sold it to him, then took it away when he shipped home.

Another episode I saw recently, showed the making of a Gerber MP600. I guess they filmed a few things at the gerber factory.
