Mike all I know that light goes back to 2004 IMO it's old news hence no reviews to date

Not as good as I'd hoped then, especially with 3 aa driving it

Well I know you've put your readies away but I just had to go look for a review, it should be noted that this was done in 2004, this is not a very up-to-date light I think.

Correct Gareth this light came out in 2003 AFAIK hence the clearance item tag

Well the fact that it's so sensitive to various battery types is the final nail in it's coffin

There is not much info on this light. I did a search on CPF and came up with a posting from 2004. Not much was really said about this light other than the tint of the LED, with members reporting green and violet tints.

Well I bought one, and too be honest it isn't half bad

I's increadable robust with really thick aluminium wall's. A type II matte coating, and the qualities pretty good too, with nice smooth threads

There's a really lovely spill to it, and while not being mega powerful, seem's to have a reasonable throw

Best of all I think it'll excel at self defence duties (the reason I bought it) as it really has a lovely heft to it

It would seem that way

They just do good, robust, no nonsense light's for reasonable money

+ I'm not really a fan of multiple power setting's on a torch if I'm honest

If I were to buy a penlight, it would definitely be a Peak Eiger.  Talk about a no-nonsense, extremely well-built and designed piece...

No piccies mate (really need to find my camera ) but it's pretty compact, certainly smaller than a 91mm Sak
