What a day.
on: May 02, 2010, 01:26:10 AM
My day started this morning about 2:30 with my wife waking me in tears
"Honey you have to go get me something, I threw up 4 times in the last 1 1/2 hours."

Calling the pharmacy I asked the pharmacist what would he suggest and he told me to take her to the ER.

So about 3 this morning I drove my wife to the ER.

Thinking it was her gall bladder they did a cat scan and found everything to be alright but her white blood cell count was real HIGH.

Taking an ultra sound they found an 8 cm sist on one of her ovaries.

9 this morning they tell her she is having surgery 11:45 they take her in.

Surgeon said it went great and that he made a small incision and got it out without it erupting.  He also told me that it is bi nine.

She is now resting (comfortably as possible) and I am home wiped out and fighting off a cold.

All went well today even when my ST300 sheath unsnapped and dropped the MT in the toilet (the one I just used #1 lucky)

Fished it out gave it a bleach bath and rinsed it should be good to go.

Oh my goodness.  I hope she's feeling better now.  Those are not fun and quite painful.  I'm glad they got it taken care of.  Take care, both of you.  Thoughts and prayers sent your way. :)

Wow, if that had happened to my wife or myself, I wouldn't have even considered ER.  Looks like you made a good move there.

The cyst may have been intermittently twisting--that can lead to a fair bit of vomiting.  (Think about a twisting testis--same innervation).  Really glad it's benign.

Oh, and I've dropped a Cybertool bit in the toilet before.  Let me say, those little ball detents aren't foolproof   ::).  Did the same as you did.   I haven't died yet.  :D

Wow - that's an eventful day!

At least everything was taken care of and you've skipped straight to the recovery part - no worrying about what might be or time for anxieties to creep in.

Wish you wife all the best for me Swiss Man

A quick update on the Mrs. and the ST300.

The Mrs got a clean bill of health yesterday Dr says that she can go back to work Wed.  (Still moody and hurting Don't tell her I said that).

The cyst was bi nine (official now from the Lab) .

The ST300 got a bleach bath and rinsed with water and blown dry. I was going to oil it later and forgot about it till I got to work and went to open it.

The jaws dragged then I remembered that I never oiled it fearing that all the tools were welded together with a fine rust I was releived when I pulled them out and only found a hint of per rust.

Took a wire brush cleaned it off, oiled it up and now it is fine just like the Mrs.   Being cheap I am glad that they are both okay I couldn't afford to replace both of them. ::)

Thanks all for your thoughts and wishes this is a great forum where people really care for one another.
